Peak to Average Power Reduction Technique in OFDM System

چکیده
In this paper, OFDM based on Software-Defined Radio (GNU Radio) to reducing the peak to average power ratio is developed and tested. Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) is a method of encoding digital data on multiple carrier frequencies. OFDM has developed into a popular scheme for wideband digital communication, whether wireless or over copper wires, used in applications such as digital television and audio broadcasting, DSL Internet access wireless networks and 4G mobile communications. In this proposed design a weight is imposed on each discrete OFDM signal via a certain kind of a band limited signal, and an OFDM signal formed with the weighted discrete data is then considered before a high power amplifier (HPA), whereas the original signal can be recovered completely at the receiver side using weighted OFDM scheme & we doing it using to be implementing on Blade RFx40 SDR platform and the performance is going to be analyzed. BladeRFx40 is a Software Defined Radio (SDR) platform designed to enable a community of hobbyists and professionals to explore and experiment with the multidisciplinary facets of RF communication.

An Efficient Scheme for PAPR Reduction of OFDM based on Selected Mapping without Side Information
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) has become a promising method for many wireless communication applications. However, one main drawback of OFDM systems is the high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). Selected mapping (SLM) is a well-known technique to decrease the problem of high PAPR in OFDM systems. In this method, transmitter is obliged to send some bits named side informati...

The high Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) and MIMO-OFDM systems reduces the system efficiency. In this paper, an extension of Tone Reservation (TR) method is introduced for PAPR reduction in Space Frequency Block Coded OFDM (SFBC-OFDM) systems. The proposed algorithm is based on a time domain kernel which is added to the signal of the anten...
متن کاملA Low Complexity Forward Error Correction for PAPR reduction in OFDM Systems
In this paper, a Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) reduction technique in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems is proposed. This technique uses error correction capability of channel coding to reduce the PAPR.The coded bits at the input of OFDM modulator are separated into two groups of the Most Significant Bits (MSB) and the LeastSignificant Bits (LSB). The bits are mappe...

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a useful technology in wireless communications that provides high-rate data transmission in multipath fading channels. The advantages of OFDM systems are the high spectral efficiency and strong resistance to frequency selective fading. In OFDM systems, a large number of sub-carriers are used to modulate the symbols causing the time-domain OFD...

This paper results clipping and filtering technique for peak to average power ratio (PAPR) reduction in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). Our simulation results show that this technique removes inband and out of band distortion along with 1dB reduction in peak to average power ratio when crest ratio changes from 1.4 to 1.2. KeywordsClipping, Crest ratio, Orthogonal frequency di...
